No Sound Tomtom Start

Hello,

I have installed Tomplayer on a new Tomtom navigation the name of the navigation is "TOMTOM START"
Everything of the player works OK.
Only there is no Sound.

Model number 1EX00
Version 8.544
gps version 1.20
boot 5.5234

Thank you for your replay, but it has no effect.
Mp3 playing good in the screen but no sound
Video play good but also no sound.

hi,

have you tried the standalone installation?
can't you hear nothing ? not even a glitch ?
Have you tried to increase the volume ? if yes, can you see the volume level when you click on the volume "+" / "-" icons ?

Hi Wolfgar,

What you mean with standalone installation?
I drag the map Tomplayer to the TOMTOM Start, what I see as an extern disk.
I hear nothing, not even a glitch.
When I try to increas the volume, I can't see the volume level in the display.
No reaction of the volume + and - on the display, also the muto button no reaction.

hi,

in fact ,i do not know your model and your new navigation soft. do you have any pointer with info about them ?

About tomplayer, generally speaking, it can be installed following two different procedures

As standalone,
In this kind of installation, you dedicate a whole sdcard to tomplayer and as soon as you plug this sdcard and poweron your device tomplayer starts immediatly
To install that way you have to copy the whole distrib folder content at the root of your sdcard

AS integrated with navigation software
In this kind of installation, you launch tomplayer from the navigation menu
to install that way, well it depends on your model and your nav version. If you are lucky you just have to copy the sdkregistry folder and to adapt the tomplayer.cap file..

It seems that you can integrate plugins in a defiirente way with your device , i would like to know more about it.

The model Tomtom likes a Tomtom One.
What I understand they stops with the one and this is the new model.
The type is: Tomtom Start
Model number 1EX00
Part number 4EX0.001.02
This model have only memory inside
And I have copied SDK registry folder.

Ok, thanks for these additional info.

In fact i don't really understand why the sound does not work : If you do not even have a reaction it is likely that the sound has been unable to initialize...
I may have an idea but i would need to to you send to you a special launch script to create a log about the error...
Are you ready to perform these additional tests ?

I also have a TomTom Start and same problem, no sound (or there is but it's too quiet to be heard from a distance more than next to ear). Any progress with the issue? Have others (eddy193, pctine, ollie98) replied about the log file?

I think the problem has something to do with amplifying the sound (maybe initializing too, i'm not so much into these things), since there IS some sound coming out from the device but too bad it cannot be heard well.
